A Touch Of Winter

from Piano Pieces by Lee Lucas

/

about

"A Touch Of Winter" was recorded on a very cold morning on the 3rd February 2013. It was a Saturday and I got up early that morning. Straight away I could feel the cold, but never put on the heating and decided to make myself a cup of coffee to warm and wake myself up a bit.

I had also not touched my keyboard for over a couple of weeks, so I decided to switch it on and have a little tinkle on the keys, and after about 3 minutes I decided to hit the record button and just let my hands do the wandering across the keys, with no real direction of what I was going to do at all.

Having hit the stop button and listening back to the piece, I was very well pleased with result of it. I think it's very much one of my stronger pieces of work and one I am proud of. I gave the piece it's title having felt the cold on that cold winter morning.
