In a small village in harlington 1851
on the corner of St. Cleaves street
stood a butchers shop
run by the butcher and his ghastly son

Chopping up dead carcases
into fine joints of meat
no one was sure where it came from
but it served the villagers a tasty treat

Life's forsaken hearts are taken

if their trade does not cease

Many people went missing
word got out it was not safe upon the streets
but the butchers were opening up all hours
making a killing from their butchery deeds

Though soon constable riley became suspicious
when something unsavoury caught his eye
but by the next day he too went missing
and there was a special on pork pies

more police were called in to take on the case
though the butcher was very clever and cleaned up well
and he never ever left a trace

Sergeant atkins started choking
and coughed up what appeared to be a finger nail
but the next day he was hanging up on hooks
and a new batch of sausage rolls done very well in the sale
