The Rain of Contentment

"The Rain Of Contentment" is very much a composed piece that I structured around the same chords I used for "Step Into The Fall" a piano solo to which was the very first piece I put on Soundcloud on the 4th October 2011. This new piece I composed on the 25th September 2012 and gave it a title of at the time of "Step Into The Fall Again" until I put it out on Soundcloud on 3rd October 2012.

I very much knew I wanted this piece at the time I done it to celebrate my first Anniversary on the cloud, but like an idiot I got my days mixed up and released it a day earlier.

I chose the new title "The Rain Of Contentment" because around this time I had volunteered to co-moderate a group called "The Rain Rain Rain Group" with my friend Peter Vorlander a.k.a. (CS Minor) and I felt originally the piece had a feel of rain about it, so I could include it in the group.

I also decided the day before I put it out, to add some rain in the background to which I did on the keys from a patch I found on the Korg M1 VST.

I was well pleased with "The Rain Of Contentment" and felt it was a lot stronger than what I had done with "Step Into The Fall" and it had more structure to the piece. I very much decided to leave "Step Into The Fall" off the album because I never thought it was strong enough to be on it.
